On Saturday the Wilt family decided to take a trip to Batsto Village. The three of us walked through the village and had so much fun. It really was beautiful. Gram and PopPop came over for dinner and spent some time with Nicholas. On Sunday we had breakfast with them and then raced home because the Muller's were visiting. We had such a nice visit with Nicole, Mike, Max and Gavin. The boys constantly were peering in and checking on their cousin Nicholas who seemed to want to do nothing but sleep while they were over. Max and Gavin played the Wii while the rest of us chatted. We threw dinner together on a whim and it turned out delicious.
That brings us to Monday. Nicholas had his one month appointment. All was going well. His measurements were taken. He is 9.2 lbs and 22 1/2 inches long. His eye is clearing up nicely and he has wonderful eating habits. Dr. Murphy had so many nice things to say and gave us 3 containers of formula...yay. And then came the shot. Dr. Murphy held one side and I got the other and then the pinch. Boy did he scream. Oh I felt so bad. But as soon as I picked him up, he calmed right down and then I felt like a superhero. The rest of the day he was fine. We ended the day with a very nice visit from Omie (Ryan's mom) and Ryan's Aunt Helen. Nicholas got two outfits, a stuffed animal, books and lots of hugs and kisses. We ended the night with a win from the Eagles!!

Happy One Month
Nicholas turned one month on November 11th. We celebrated by taking some pictures!! We also took our first trip out together on Wednesday. Now don't judge...we went to the liquor store...LOL. I had to get a bottle of wine for my mom...honest. I did feel horrible about our first outing together being that it was to the liquor store. On Thursday we went to the Allen School to see all of our friends and eat lunch with Ryan. I also got a chance to sneak upstairs and see my students while Nicholas stayed with Ry. It was so good to see them and hear how much they missed me because I do miss them. The part I was most surprised about was how easy it was to leave them. I wasn't even a little bit sad...uh oh. What will I do in March when I have to spend most of my day with them and not Nicholas??

Meet My New Best Friend...Coffee
Well it has been almost one month since Nicholas was born. He is at about 9lbs at this point and has definitely out grown most of his clothes through 3 months. His legs are soooo long. He eats every three hours and can sometimes go 4 1/2 hours during the night. I am actually surprised at how well I am doing. You know I love my sleep more than anything so this has been quite an adjustment. Maybe thats why I love coffee so much now. Nicholas and I start our day at about 8 o'clock. We come downstairs, eat, then clean up and by 11 o'clock we are able to watch the View. I do miss work and the kids a lot. I miss adult interaction during the day. But then when I feed Nicholas and he looks up at me or smiles (which he has been doing a lot of lately) it makes it all worthwhile. Ryan goes to the gym after work on most days. I have been trying my hardest to get back into cooking. Nicholas spends time with daddy at night and then we are all in bed by 10. Nicholas gets up at least 2 times during the night sometimes 3. Ryan is such a help. He feeds Nicholas every morning around 6 so I can sleep in a little every day. I am working up the courage to take Nicholas out by myself but I am still very nervous about it. Maybe before the end of the week. Ok it is time for my second coffee of the day!!
