An Addition to the Family

Ryan and I were so lucky to receive Moose in December 2008.  Moose is a Great Dane.  Ryan and I both shared a student whose family was breeding Great Danes.  When her dog got pregnant Ryan was her teacher.  She asked Ryan if he and I were be interested in getting one of the puppies.  With much thought and some bickering we decided we would like one.  Billie had other thoughts.  But she quickly got used to the transition.  On some days you can even consider Moose and Billie friends!!  When we got Moose he was able to crawl under Billie now he weighs close to 140 pounds!!

On October 30, 2008 Ryan and I bought our first and he says only house.  We live in Medford Lakes and love it.  We have done lots of work to the house to make it our own.  I love how cozy and warm my house feels and of course Ryan is always finding things to fix, add or change in the house.  Love him!!

The Day I Married My Best Friend

Ryan and I were married on Friday, May 23, 2008.  We had a beautiful day and it was the best wedding I have ever been to!!

The Engagement

Well...it was June 23rd one year exactly from our first date and Ryan has decided that we should take the train into New York.  It was a beautiful day so we went.  Ry was being very weird that morning.  I wanted to pack a backpack to take with us so when I asked for his he said that he would pack it.  He even brought it in the bathroom with him.  Whatever...so we take the train in and the adventure begins.  Ryan was literally pulling me through Central Park muttering to himself how nothing was good enough.  Two hours later he says of this is perfect.  We sit down in a nice grassy area and immediately he claims he sees a better spot with a better view.  So we get up again.  At this point I am exhausted and all I want to do is sit.  This "better place" that he has brought me to is facing a beautiful lake but there is no grass. So now I am sitting in dirt.  We lean up against a tree and finally relax.  Then it occurs to me that I probably have dirt on my butt.  So I kind of roll to the right (Ryan is on my left) and I ask do I have dirt on my butt.  And he says I don't know stand up and let me see.  But I am too tired so I say no and roll to the right again and say can you just look.  He says nothing so I sit the right way and look over at him.  He is somewhat kneeling.  You see I was supposed to stand up so he could kneel the right way.  Way to ruin it!!  Anyway he is kneeling and there is a black box in his hand.  OMG I can't believe its happening even though I had a feeling.  Ryan tells me how I am his best friend, he wants to spend the rest of his life with me.  And I am just staring and smiling at him.  Then he says well are you going to answer and I say well are you going to ask.  He says Will you marry me and I say yes.  And then to both of our surprises I don't cry.  WHAT!!!  No tears.  Nope instead I say "I think I am going to throw up"  Way to ruin the mood Tina.  Anyway we laugh at my stupid comment and end the day with lunch on Tavern on the Green.  Later on the train ride home we make all of our phone calls.  The people on the train were probably so tired listening to the story.
